Daniel Kong, M.D.
Dr. Daniel S. Kong is a vascular surgeon who joins CardioVascular Institute of the Rockies following completion of his Vascular Surgery Residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University, one of the nation’s premier vascular surgery training programs.
His clinical training encompasses the full spectrum of vascular disease, including venous disease, aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, and dialysis access. He is experienced in both open surgical and minimally invasive approaches.
He also brings an extensive background in vascular research, with work focused on surgical outcomes, aneurysm repair, thrombolysis, vascular access, and limb-threatening ischemia. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading medical journals and presented his research at national vascular surgery meetings.
He is passionate about providing evidence-based, patient-centered care. He believes that patients are best served when they understand their condition and the available treatment options. His goal is to combine advanced surgical and endovascular techniques with thoughtful, individualized care to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes and quality of life.
