Barbara Melendez, MD
Dr. Melendez is originally from Chile and moved to Colorado at age 16, where she began her undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado. She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Melendez completed her general surgery residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, followed by a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Albany Medical Center.
Dr. Melendez specializes in the open treatment of complex peripheral arterial disease and thoracic outlet syndrome. She is licensed to practice medicine in both Colorado and South Dakota and serves as the Medical Director for Vascular Services at Intermountain Health Saint Joseph Hospital.
Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Melendez enjoys running and traveling.
